• This model was made in complete secret. Nobody would ever expect that model. It was published in November 2015, together with three other bonus Polonez Plus versions (Ambulance, Hearse and Armored),

• It is the third model to have mods.darewnoo magazine in the boot as an Easter Egg (No. 1, October).

Testers and authors of the screenshots

• Both the tester and the author of screenshots is darewnoo. The model was also tested by Zymku.

Things that were planned, but not added

• The model should have a random tinted rear windshield. The picture on the right side shows information given to Lazlow555 during the work on the model.

• The emblems at the rear were supposed to be raised,

• The model should have a rear windshield wiper – this was added to the official GTA V conversion.

Costs

• The model was not co-financed by others. It was fully paid by Zymku.

Mistakes and bugs in model

• The crease at the back of the car (between the lights) is slightly too short and too rectangular,

• The emblems at the boot are placed a bit too high,

• The top cargo area is too short – this mistake was fixed in official conversion for GTA V.

Curiosities related to the working progress of the model

• The work on the model took place from May 21 to June 16, 2015 (with breaks).

Information about number plates

• VG on the number plate stands for Van CarGo. 77 is an accidental number.

• This model was based on Polonez Caro Plus ’98 made in 2013.

• Model was based on original dimensions (4616 x 1800 x 1650 mm).

Other curiosities

• It was our very first model to be financed by a different person. Both authors (Lazlow555, darewnoo) agreed to make this version based on our earlier models from 2013. Polonez Cargo was initially never intended to be made, but thanks to Zymku and author’s permission, the model has been made,

• At first, the 3D shape and the boot of the car was modelled incorrectly, because Lazlow started the work without having proper pictures. After pictures were used, those parts were brought to perfection (see first pic),

• The 1.6 GSI engine was actually never used in Polonez Cargo Plus, that mistake was fixed in our later model though – Ambulance, which was based on Cargo,

• The work on this model was split in two – first, the complete 3D model of the car was made, second (after all other three bonus versions were finished), we added several random parts to the cargo area,

• To cut the costs, the 3D models of the random parts in cargo area… are actually downloaded from websites with free 3D models. Both me (darewnoo) and Zymku were searching for proper models on such websites,

• The list of planned parts in the cargo area was really big. Finally, Zymku and darewnoo have gone for 19 parts (split in 8 separate objects), where the final model should have 14 of them. The selected objects were: bicycle, metal case, wooden planks, ash, metal barrels, a portable device, toilet seat, TV-set, boxes, microwave, plant, washing machine, old sofa and old baskets. Following parts were removed: road signs, trash container, table, oven and a sofa. What’s interesting, the parts that Zymku wanted to add most were washing machine, toilet seat and sofa, while darewnoo wanted a metal case, TV-set, barrels, boxes and a potted plant. The sketch and layout of these parts was also done by darewnoo (see second pic),

• Until the final textures were fixed, the upholstery had an incorrect pattern, since this was a standard blue upholstery painted red. After the final textures were corrected, the upholstery got a correct pattern with dark red stripes. The same was with the incorrect colour of the dashboard – this was also fixed at the end,

• It is the first Polonez Plus which features fixed material of the hubcaps – in the earlier versions from 2013, the hubcaps were chrome, while Cargo is the first model where hubcaps are matte – just like it should be from the very beginning,

• It is the first Polonez Plus with a corrected mistake from the earlier versions from 2013 – the bar above side windows is now black. Unfortunately, an incorrect mapping of the gear lever (partially fixed by editing the texture) or incorrect connections in the suspension are still errors that hasn’t been fixed,

• If you don’t replace vehicles.ide values from readme, the passenger’s legs will stick through the chassis,

• The cargo barrier separating the car’s interior and cargo area is original, although most of the real cars does not have it anymore. A proof for this appearing originally is one of the press pictures (see third pic) included in the models folder,

• The screen of the random appearing tablet inside the car shows a screenshot of the beta version of the car from 24.05,

• The car’s dimensions are exactly the same as in the real car,

• Since Polonez Cargo ’99 is a rare car today, the archive of otomoto.pl was useful in searching the pictures,

• For the purposes of advertisement of this model, darewnoo had made a promotional pic presenting the real car. The picture was made using the photomontage (see fourth pic). The picture was later placed in car’s folder.,

• The curiosities for this model were never available on old mods.darewnoo.pl (2012-2016).
