Below you can find selected screens which I (darewnoo) made to document new mods.darewnoo.pl from day one. In theory the work began on January 1st 2015 but started to gain speed fouf months later. For around 7 months I was experimenting with different graphic styles, in all honesty I was just losing time on it. In July 2015, new mods.darewnoo.pl got its white background and got expanded. After a month, all work got stopped because of my converts for GTA V (from August 2015 to February 2016). After that I came back to work on the site to finally publish it in June 2016.

Of course working on new site looks and functionality is not everything. Because everything had to be new I had to prepare folders and readme from scratch for all 53 models from GTA IV, next step was doing the same thing with all converts, from all games - from GTA 3, through LFS to WR2 - in total 74 converts, of which 37 came from WR2. For every convert I had to prepare new, good quality screens - that took a lot of time. For GTA IV models I had to prepare new and nice "sessions" so specially for this I made around 1750 new screens to use some of them in the new header. Going on, for needs of new mods.darewnoo.pl I edited around 6000 (2,16 GB of size) archival GTA IV screens from 2012-2016. Next, I had to write curiosities from scratch for all 53 models from GTA IV, gather videos and archival work progress. I also wrote a new FAQ and "about authors". In the meantime next models for IV were tested and published - Tacuma, Nubiras II, Polonez', Musso and Korando. I also made a lot of smaller things for the new site, some of which got canceled or cut anyway. I won't mention stuff like writing texts or descriptions. As you can see, that was not so easy...

In this gallery below you can clearly see how new mods.darewnoo.pl project changed through months.

> Gallery of archival screens of work progress for new version mods.darewnoo.pl (2015-2016)

Note: descriptions are in English, but the screens have polish texts (website was made in the Polish language at first). In the end it was translated to English language. Translations: baartlomiej (about 60%), Iksio (30%) and darewnoo (10%).

01.2015

1. First screen from work. Here you can see testing the script responsible for changing colours - in the end it was canceled. At this stage looks were not important.

01.2015

2. Choosing icons, screens and settings for each car for the already finished script.

02.2015

3. Testing next scripts.

02.2015

4. First try of implementing a menu.

02.2015

5. Preliminary project of the new site.

02.2015

6. In the beginning this was how menu was supposed to look - here with a ready graphics template.

03.2015

7. Experimenting with colours and size of curiosities' tables.

03.2015

8. Preliminary looks of gallery. Interestingly, despite this project getting canceled, this was used on old and current mods.darewnoo.pl in GTA V converts tab.

03.2015

9. Continuing on choosing colours of tables.

03.2015

10. Preliminary ready looks of curiosities' tables. Not much changed from final version.

03.2015

11. Beginning of work on converts' list table. On this stage it was kept in dark colours. Also a script scrolling the page up appears. At this moment, a month long brake took place.

05.2015

12. Preliminary pics for the main page. At the start the page was supposed to be black.

05.2015

13. Screen showing an exemplary model in rolldown menu.

05.2015

14. Ready panel with a model, which script was prepared at the beginning. In the end this panel was rejected, but you can see how it was working HERE. Panels with links, screens and colours were prepared for 8 models before this project got canceled.

05.2015

15. Another rejected idea - a simple list of models.

05.2015

16. A try on expanding a simple list of models.

06.2015

17. Ready table "who makes what" - it's looks (except for colours) wasn't changed later on.

06.2015

18. Beginning of a final version of curiosities' tables.

06.2015

19. Expanding sections regarding curiosities. Those regarding file size were removed from the final version.

06.2015

20. Another element which except for its colours wasn't changed until the end.

06.2015

21. Beginning of experiments with a transparent background.

06.2015

22. Another experiment and another background. By the way you can see an early version of converts table.

06.2015

23. Another background test. Car in the top right corner was supposed to be a "return" button.

06.2015

24. Another take on the background.

06.2015

25. A draft of the final header.

06.2015

26. Next element (this time from the main page) which except for its colours and the screen wasn't changed until the end.

06.2015

27. Element of the main page which was left unchanged. By the way here you can see the background which was used for a long time. In the beginning as a raw screen, later blurred and after changing the site colours, the background recieved a slightly transparent white colour. Few weeks before its finishing, the background was removed.

06.2015

28. An idea for new look of work progress for currently made models as seen above, left unchanged. Only thing changed was the percent bar.

06.2015

29. "Contact" Tab - also hasn't changed a lot. Here you can see another background experiment - this time it was dark blue.

06.2015

30. FAQ – the design (apart from the colouring) remained nearly unchanged, but the answers were not rolling out by a click.

06.2015

31. Another screenshot from the beginning of the new FAQ.

06.2015

32. Another test with the background – with a gloomy colour.

07.2015

33. An initial project of the conversion table. Despite of some cosmetic changes, the project remained till the end.

07.2015

34. Replacing the black and dark blue background with white and light blue colour. You can also see an attempt to add game logo on the main screenshot, which was finally removed.

07.2015

35. Starting the work on a new, white website scheme, which turned out to be final.

07.2015

36. Testing and finding a proper fonts for the website.

07.2015

37. A new website heading is visible – it looks very much like the final one. At this point though, the animated header was disabled (as seen in 25) and was replaced with big, static screenshots.

07.2015

38. Implementation of another simple script. Finally it was not used on the website. Of course, those simple colours were not supposed to remain on the website.

07.2015

39. New scheme of the comment section – here, a screenshot made during the work.

07.2015

40. Adding and testing of the new emoticons and logotypes – since they were added on the new mods.darewnoo.pl, all emoticons were available also on the old site.

08.2015

41. New stripe showing the work progress.

08.2015

42. Almost a final versions of the conversion list, but still with different colours and without “GTA V” – it happened in the time when the mods for this game were really crawling...

08.2015

43. Added description above the table, as well as its final colours.

08.2015

44. Screenshot of a secret panel, which made me possible to freely switch the screenshots (without waiting for its random appearance).

08.2015

45. Another colour version of the “who is responsible for what” panel. On the top you can also see the implemented script (later removed) for a smaller rolling vertical menu.

08.2015

46. New text for the “Contact” section was added.

08.2015

47. Closer and closer to the end. Here you can see the finished project and colours for the tables and curiosities...

08.2015

48. ...and the archival work progress of the models.

08.2015

49. New, much more expressive informational stripes placed in the archival (or actual) working progress of the model. Here, you can see all possible versions of the stripes, but only 3 are actually used.

08.2015

50. Changes in FAQ – added links to the different categories and a script which rolls out the answer for a question.

08.2015

51. Added description to the screenshot gallery for every model.

08.2015

52. Almost final version of the graphical scheme for a single convert. In the final version though, the screenshot part was moved to the right side. The texts and screenshots here are not correct of course.

At this point, there was a huge, five-month break! The work was continued in January 2016.

01.2016

53. After a long break, a new graphical design for the menu of GTA IV models was added, which replaced the old version as seen in 14.

02.2016

54. Another attempt on the vertical rolling menu – this time with a success, but on this screenshot there were still many differences between the final version.

02.2016

55. Continuation of modifying the horizontal rolling menu. The version on this screen looks very much like the final one, but the removed split of the models by years is still visible.

05.2016

56. After another, nearly 3 months break, the final GTA IV model menu was added to the website. The small, moving horizontal menu is still visible here, it was removed later.

05.2016

57. Due to a lot of breaks, the conversion table was updated in May – this is when I added GTA V to the list, as well as new models for GTA IV and new converts for the existing models, as shown on the screen.

05.2016

58. At the end of May 2016, this archival work progress of the website was added. Since June, the most intensive work have started...

06.2016

59. This was how the curiosities for GTA IV model were written “backstage”, so that they could be pasted in the website code in the beginning of June. In the same way, I made the content of the FAQ and screenshot descriptions in the gallery.

06.2016

60. In the beginning of June, in just two days, I also added all conversions to the website, sorted by models and games and prepared the final folders for conversions and models for GTA IV.

06.2016

61. The website design is complete, but the header is still not finished. About 30 models with screenshots were still missing in it.

06.2016

62. A few weeks before publishing the website, the special panel making me possible to switch the screenshots in header, was removed (see 44).

06.2016

63. At June 10, together with all the videos, all conversions are now on the website.

06.2016

64. The “cards” from the main site remained unchanged since August 2015, as seen on screenshot. On June 13, 2016, I added a small window with information shown here as well.

06.2016

65. Header was finally finished on June 14, when I added the remaining 27 models...

06.2016

66. ...three days later I added this work progress shown when “welcome on the new mods.darewnoo.pl” was highlighted on the bottom left of the header (in PL version only).

06.2016

67. At June 18, I updated the FAQ (all other changes were made at least 10 months earlier, in August, 2015!). Due to that, I added a couple of new questions, new pics and also I’ve rewritten the GTA V part (a lot have changed about it in 10 months :D )

06.2016

68. At the midday of June 20, some of my testers have got a temporary logins making it possible for them to get familiar with the new website. The testing was done in secret. The rectangle with the red frame was only visible on 20-21 of June.

06.2016

69. In the same day, I also sorted the “cards”. I added proper screenshots and two first information. The day later, I corrected some of the code and fixed the bottom of the page.

06.2016

70. On June 22, I made some small fixes to the comment section and added 6 additional emoticons. The colour of “mods.darewnoo.pl” in the upper left corner was also changed. The new icon for the website was available then.

06.2016

71. During 25-26 of June, the “Daewoo Colors” app was refreshed and updated.

06.2016

72. The only information not available on the initial release of the website is “information about authors and converters”.

06.2016

73. The only thing that remained was to insert the translated texts by baartlomiej and Iksio on the website, so that the website could be in two languages. PL version is ready.

03.2017

74. Break. 18 March 2017, the release date of the English version of the website.
